Dive into the restoration and relive this historic C-53 Skytrooper, 'Beach City Baby's' dynamic past as a team of dedicated volunteers work to save her from the scrapyard. An active combat paratrooper and personnel transport serving in WWII, Beach City Baby retired from military service to become an airliner. Later she was requisitioned as the Governor of Ohio's airplane, Buckeye One. Neglected for the past 20 years and slated to be sold for scrap, Vintage Wings Inc. is working diligently to restore life to our Beach City Baby.
