A Year of Creating

Updated: Aug 9, 2021

The past year has been transformative. After all, one can't pass through the crucible unchanged. It has been a journey of self-discovery, awakenings, and shedding the old.

In my last post I announced I was writing a novel. That is still ongoing and I can't wait to share the epic story with you. I was close to halfway done with the manuscript when I was offered an opportunity to write my first work-for-hire pilot called Time Girl. It was a fun project to be a part of, writing a blend of sci-fi and fantasy wrapped up in interdimensional time travel:

Time Girl is a TV series that follows the daughters of Amelia Earhart (who disappeared into a time vortex) and Marie Laveau: Two adventurous girls must travel through time and space across bizarre dimensions to stop the tyrant who took their parents from unravelling existence itself.

With that project completed, I moved on to others. Over the last year I have been able to create:

  • Two TV pilot screenplays

  • Three feature screenplays

  • Three pitch decks

  • One series bible

  • Two sizzle reels/trailers

  • 1/2 of a novel

With a tendency toward hyperfocus, I've been putting all of my attention into writing screenplays. With my neurodiversity, I often forget to do side tasks like clean, eat meals, and keep up with my newsletter. My plan is to do better with this newsletter in keeping you up to date. There are some exciting developments on projects and I can't wait to share those with you in the coming weeks and months!
